February & April Vacation Dance Schedule

Below is the dance schedule for the weeks of February 20-25 & April 16-21 (Cheshire vacation weeks). Private lessons are cancelled during these weeks. Standard dance classes will be offered in the time slots shown below. Students who attend these classes will receive makeup credit. Students who do not attend will not receive an absence. Ballet & Tap Combo Saturday 9:00 or 10:00 (Miss Becky)will be held on Tuesday 4:00-5:00 February 21st & April 17th

Ballet, Tap & Jazz Intro Combo Monday 4:45 or Saturday 9:00(Miss Jess) will be held on Tuesday 5:00-6:15 February 21st & April 17th

Lyric, Modern or Tap Monday 6:00, 7:15, 8:00 or Wednesday 4:30 will be held Tuesday 6:30-8:00 February 21st & April 17th

Pink & Blue Team Rehearsal will be held Wednesday 5:00-6:00 February 22nd & April 18th

Production Rehearsal (all teams except pink) will be held Wednesday 6:00-7:00 February 22nd & April 18th

Purple, Red, Yellow & Green Team Rehearsal will be held Wednesday 7:00-800 February 22nd & April 18th

Team Private Lessons be held Wednesday 8:00-9:00 February 22nd & April 18th

Ballet, Tap & Jazz Combo Tuesday 4:30, 6:00 or Saturday 10:15 will be held Thursday 5:00-6:30 February 23rd & April 19th

Jazz & Hip Hop Tuesday 800, Wednesday 5:00 or 6:30 will be held Thursday 6:30-8:00 February 23rd & April 19th

Please make sure your child has the following dress code for dance class. All shoes and dance bag must be labeled with their name. No laces allowed on tap shoes – only buckles or tap buttons. No underwear. No Gum. No Jewelry. Hair must be pulled back securely from face and neck. Ballet Bun is required only in the Lyric & Modern Combo Classes. Please make sure that your child understands the dress code and is prepared for class. Little ones get embarrassed easily when they don’t know the rules or aren’t prepared. Even though dance is a fun activity it is also a “discipline” and enforcing the dress code helps them to feel part of a team and allows them to focus on learning how to dance and what being a dancer is about. Students will not be allowed to participate without the proper dress code. Thank you.

All of the items below are available to purchase at the Academy with the exception of the Capezio Tap shoes for the Monday 7:15 Tap class. We will be happy to fit you and order the correct items for you during our office hours. Thank you.

November 7 thru 19 - Parent Observation Weeks for Recreational Classes

December 19 thru January 1st - ACADEMY CLOSED HOLIDAY BREAK

January 2nd - All classes resume

February - Cheshire Winter Break - revised vacation schedule in effect

March 16 thru 18th - Dance Showcase in Bristol, CT (solos, duos & trios only!!!)

March 23 thru 25 - American Dance Awards in New Haven, CT - ALL TEAMS

March 30 thru April 1 - American Dance Awards in Springfield, MA - ALL TEAMS except Pink

April - Cheshire Spring Break - revised vacation schedule in effect

April 27 thru 29 - Headliners Competition in Providence, RI - ALL TEAMS except Pink

May 4 thru 6 - International Dance Challenge - Waterbury, CT - ALL TEAMS

May 19th - Annual Dance Recial - Location TBA
